Bookbuzz given regular spots in electronic and print media
When Nick Mulcahy, the editor of Business Plus, one of Ireland’s leading monthly business magazines, was looking for someone to write a regular column on business books, he decided to approach Bookbuzz.
In the course of an average month, the people at Bookbuzz get to read dozens of business titles in order to select books for Bookbuzz programmes. So Mulcahy commissioned Bookbuzz Chief Learning Officer and published author Yanky Fachler to write the column.
The column has appeared regularly since February 2008. Fachler chooses a single title or a number of different books, and discusses some of the themes tackled in the book. In particular, he looks at the books from the perspective of a senior business executive looking for inspiration or ideas.
Ast the same time, Bookbuzz was approached by Keith Bohanna, producer of The Bottom Line business programme on KCLR96FM, with a request to supply business book content on a regular basis. The radio station has a weekly radio audience of 77,000, making it the most listened to radio station in counties Carlow and Kilkenny.
For 10 consecutive weeks during March, April and May 2008, KCLR 96fm chief executive John Purcell, the host of The Bottom Line, interviewed Yanky Fachler on the subject of business books. Yanky has been invited to return to his regular weekly slot when the programme resumes in the autumn.
